Sophy Bristow

International Head of Editorial

Sophy manages the editorial content and direction of The Climate Group’s websites, publications, newsletters and other communications. She also heads up the Climate Change Consumer research programme, looking at how to engage consumers around climate change and maximise business opportunity in this area.

Sophy previously worked as a Project Manager at The Climate Group, managing a range of projects from the Voluntary Carbon Standard to the NorthSouthEastWest book and exhibition. 

Before joining The Climate Group, Sophy worked for five years in broadcasting and communications as an Assistant Producer and Director of specialist documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4 (UK). She has also been a Research Fellow at the UK Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology where she researched business responses to climate change.

Sophy holds an MSc (with Distinction) in Environmental Technology from Imperial College where she followed the Business and the Environment specialist option. Sophy sits on the UK Sustainable Development Panel, which is used to inform the Sustainable Development Commission’s advice to the UK Government.
