Diana Profir

Project Manager, GPMDG

Diana manages the Green Power Market Development Group Europe - a unique corporate renewable energy buyers group comprising of leading commercial and industrial energy users. The Group is convened by World Resources Institute, an environmental think-tank based in Washington D.C., which has partnered with The Climate Group on this initiative.

Diana has over seven years of experience in the energy industry. She spent four years at Enron after completing her MBA. Part of the management training program, Diana worked in a number of assignments both at the global headquarters in Houston, Texas, and in London. Responsibilities included risk analysis and control, business development, trading and origination, and management of joint-venture activities. Diana conducted an in-depth analysis of the nascent European green power and emissions trading markets and proposed a course of action for Enron Europe. The work resulted in the formation of a European Green Power Trading Team, of which Diana was in charge of mid-markets.

Before joining The Climate Group, Diana worked as energy consultant on projects, including power plant privatizations under USAID, international emissions trading and renewable energy across Europe.

Diana holds an MBA from Thunderbird, the Garvin School of Management and a BA degree in Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She is fluent in Romanian and Russian and is conversational in Italian.
